Winter Continues in South Carolina

Winter is still here, so be careful driving around South Carolina especially throughout the southern part. It looks like a winter storm is making its way with drops of snow and sleet along with freezing rain.

There is to be an expected ice accumilation of about 0.2 inches and the total storm amount at around 0.25 inches.

Weather like this might make it hard if not almost impossible to drive close to roads along the coast and on bridges.

Officials have been treating Ravenel Bridge since Tuesday morning, after it became one of the major problems in the area during the last ice storm. Ice falling from the bridge two weeks ago prompted officials to temporarily close it down. The bridge has been treated with a brine mix this time in order to avoid dangerous ice for cars.

Still, they  are working hard to clear all of the streets that will be affected. Currently, workers are doing 12-hour shifts in order to apply salt and other deicing materials to the roads.

Avoid driving winter during the storm, unless it is absolutely necessary. And always remember, during winter, spring, summer or fall, call your Charleston lawyer, Bill Green, if you are ever injured by someone in a car accidents.
